Manufacturing, a business unit of IDEX, is seeking a Human Resource

Generalist to join our team.

Self-motivated, resourceful, hands-on Human Resources professional who can

manage simultaneous projects in a demanding but rewarding organization. The

individual must have exceptional organizational skills, must be

approachable and must work collaboratively with internal and external team.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven and willing to go the extra mile to

achieve the company's goals. Provides Human Resource and other

administrative services for the organization. Creates and maintains

confidential employee records, generates reports, and manages databases and

files. Administers existing policies and works within existing procedures

for carrying out high-quality detail oriented work. Must maintain a high

level of confidentiality and possess the ability to perform under stressful

situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Staffing and Recruitment

  • Collaborate with operations and department managers and Sr. Staff tofill open positions with top talent. Responsible for all aspects of thesalaried and hourly hiring process: advertising, job descriptions,applicant screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks.

  • Develop relationships with recruitment agencies (temporary and regularplacement).

  • Ensure all new employees participate in a new employee orientationprocess, expediting their assimilation into the organization.

Employee Relations

  • Works with both employees and management on interpretation and guidancerelative to regulatory and company policies and procedures. Developsand maintains HR processes, employee handbooks, and procedure manuals.

  • Trains, coaches, and ensures consistency in company’s disciplineprocess. Responsible for conducting internal discipline investigations.

  • Ensures organizational compliance with labor laws and guidelinesincluding but limited to DOL, EEOC, AAP, etc.

  • Administer employee and community events such as award recognition,gifts, training programs, blood drive, lunches, open enrollment andcontributions.

  • Responds courteously to all employee inquires in a timely manner.Interacts with a diverse group of employees.

  • Develops communication for internal use and is responsible for specialexternal communications. Monitors and assesses the effectiveness of twoway communication within the organization.

Compensation, Benefits and Payroll/HRIS

  • Maintain HRIS, payroll systems, time and attendance systems, and ensuredata integrity.

  • Coordinate and administer benefits plans; annual benefits openenrollment, and understands, communicates, and resolves issues withemployees/retirees and benefit providers.

  • Responsible for coordinating Leave of Absence - documentation, andcommunication with insurance providers, management, payroll, and HR.

  • Coordinate pay for knowledge and other compensation plans; determineinternal and external equity of compensation plans and makerecommendations to drive desired employee and business performance.

HR Administration and Compliance

  • Professionally represents the company with all third partyrelationships.

  • Maintains all files to satisfy legal requirements includes backgroundchecks, applicant logs, I-9 files, training records.

  • Develop, implement and maintain all required regulatory reporting; AAP,EEO-1, VETS-100, OSHA 300, etc.

Organizational Development

  • Counsels, communicates, and maintains the Performance AppraisalProcess. Counsels employees regarding career development. Develops andadministers recognition progress.

  • Coordinate and administer training initiatives; tuition reimbursement,skills training, and management development. Develops and/or presentsneeded organizational training and education programs.

  • Coordinate and administer career development plans, based onperformance reviews, 360 reviews, Talent/HR Review, etc.

  • Coordinate and administer performance management process.

  • Development of VOE (Voice of Employee) metrics and process improvementprojects.

Safety & Risk Management

  • Partner with Operations leadership to manage all required and agreedupon safety programs and training

  • Act as liaison with Workers Compensation insurer to manage all workerscompensation claims to closure.

  • Administers the safety program and the worker’s compensation program:chairs the safety committees, completes requisite government reportingand increases safety awareness, coordinates investigations, administersemployee training and communications.

Continuous Improvement & General Administration

  • Maintain and improve effective HR systems. Maintains organization anddocument control, create and maintain charts for monthly operations andother metrics, organizational charts, and work instructions.

  • Coordinate and schedule travel, arrange meeting - catering, and provideother general administrative support for the facility, special events,and visitors.

  • Complete and respond to requests regarding federal/court requests,compensation surveys and other miscellaneous requests.

  • Maintains proper inventory levels of all office supplies. Maintainstorage rooms.

  • Assist HR Director in administrative duties. Other duties as assigned.

  • Reconciles vendor billings, issues purchase orders, and preparesinvoices for AP processing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field: business, organizationalmanagement, psychology, human resources AND Two (2) to four (4) yearsdemonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service preferred in an HR role/environment

  • 3-5 Years of experience in human resources field, preferably experiencein manufacturing organization
